Originally
attended to be a large photograph of reproduction
roman coins and fosil sharks teeth (see below)
these two pieces evolved from discussions with
the currator of the exhibition.
Here
is my statement which accompanied the piece:
"Searching,
always…. The first thing that came to
mind when thinking of a piece for this show
was something I look for occasionally when walking
in the country, or on a beach, something I’ve
never found; ancient coins or fossilised Shark’s
teeth. These items came to me as gifts so I’m
still looking, hoping I’ll find a tooth
or a coin myself."
